The NEXT indoor net practice is to be held on Friday, starting at 7:00pm in the Sports Hall at Coedcae School. It is so important that players are well prepared for the cricket throughout the summer, something which was not achieved last season and our position in the League reflected that. However all that is history and we must look forward to the challenge with a positive attitude. It is so disappointing to lose one player let alone four, with Darrel joining Llandysul, Shaun (Pontardawe), Owen (Pontarddulais) and Scott going to Dafen. We wish all these well with their new Clubs, but at the same time remind them that the door is still open for them to return, should they find that things are not as good as they were with us. We are boosted however with Huw Williams coming back after a year away and with Matthew Donoghue and Nathan Jones having recovered from long term injuries.
VICE CAPTAINS The three senior team captains have announced who their Vice Captains are going to be this season. First XI - Stuart Goddard (Captain), Mark Jenkins (Vice Captain) 2nd XI - Mike Lloyd (Captain), Simon Donoghue (Vice Captain) 3rd XI - Rhian Davies (Captain, Lyn Howells (Vice captain). Midweek XI - Mark Jenkins (Captain), Aled Howell (Vice Captain)
INDOOR LEAGUE Our Indoor League side did very well again this winter, finishing in second place in the League and were runners up in the Cup Competition. With the number of players that are available, it is hoped that we can field two sides next season.
JUNIOR LEAGUE CUP FINAL We are delighted to learn that the 2009 South Wales Junior Cricket League Under 16's Cup Final has been arranged to be played on Sunday 9th May. There was the possibility that the match, abandoned last year bacause of the wet weather, would have been scrapped, thus denying the boys in that age group the chance to play in a final decider for the second year running. We play Ynysygerwn at the Pontarddulais Cricket Ground.
NEW PRESIDENT We are pleased to confirm that Huw Edwards has accepted the invitation to become our new Club Presidenr. He succeeds his late father, Hywel Teifi Edwards, who passed away in January

PLANNING A few ideas are being considered for some events we can organise before next season. These are some: * Club Dinner/Social Night * Horse Racing Night * Curry Night * Quiz * Car Treasure Hunt * Duck Race * Cricket Tour
It would be good to have at least one activity a month. Not only will they be potential fund raising events, but it will also kick start the team spirit, ready for the 2010 season. If you have any input into these or other ideas, please let us know.
